Lansing Area Development Rundown

-Stadium North (Under Construction)
A $33 million development with two 4-floor buildings each with 66 apartments, south of Erie St in the 500 blocks of N Cedar/Larch streets.

-Neogen Shiawassee St Expansion (Under Construction)
A $70 million 175k sq ft expansion of their existing Shiawasse St facilities. The 3-floor building will be used for manufacturing and research.

-The Ovation/Lansing performing arts center (Under Construction)
An up to 2,000 seat performance venue at the southwest corner of Washington Sq & Lenawee.,60283

-Walter French renovation into apartments (Under Construction)
The former school building is currently being renovated into 76 apartments along with commercial space.

-City of Lansing new public safety complex (Under Construction)
This project will relocate the Lansing Police HQ and lockup, Fire Department HQ, 54a District Courts and Fire Station #9 to a new complex on Washington Ave just north of Washington Park

-Montgomery Drain Project (Under Construction)
A project to separate storm and sanitary sewers in and around the Frandor area with considerable publicly visible infrastructure, built partially in conjunction with the Red Cedar project. It includes a 20+ acre park with over a mile of new river trail south of the Red Cedar development along the Red Cedar River in addition to a series of ponds, trails, water features and an improved sledding hill at the existing Ranney Park. Other (above-ground) work includes rain gardens and water features throughout the Frandor commercial area, Michigan Ave medians and Red Cedar development

-Tower on the Grand (Proposed)
A 25 floor, 300k sq ft building with 308 apartments along with commercial space and parking. Proposed as part of a trio of projects including Capitol Tower and the Prudden Building.

-Capitol Tower (Proposed)
This new 10 floor building at the northwest corner of Walnut & Ottawa would house 70 apartments on the lower floors and 48k sq ft of office space on the top 3 floors and penthouse. Proposed as part of a trio of projects including Tower on the Grand and the Prudden Building.

-Prudden Building apartments and parking garage (Proposed)
This office building at the southwest corner of Michigan & Washington would be renovated into about 75 apartments and restore its ground floor retail, the two floor building at 108 S Washington Sq would be demolished for a new 3-4 floor parking garage with ground floor retail. Proposed as part of a trio of projects including Capitol Tower and the Tower on the Grand.

-Park Michigan(Proposed)
This long awaited project calls for replacing the State of Michigan employee parking lots between Ottawa and Allegan east of the Hall of justice with an expansive park space that will also tie into the existing memorials there. Construction could begin in Spring 2024.
