Both the second amendment changes and the ADU - CM Hussain version, were voted out of committee and will be on May 5th's agenda. There wasn't really any discussion so no negative comments were made against either.
Semi-related to a previous comment about the zoning map and parcel viewer. Lansing had to switch to a new app since ESRI is retiring the old one. Here is the link and the map has been updated to reflect all 2022-2024 rezonings. Most of 2024 lot combinations/splits are displayed as well, but there are a few corrections to be made. Nothing too noteworthy though.
Thanks! The big ones I noticed are the Neogen and Sparrow combinations. Glad to finally be able to visualize that. Still funny to me that neither of the housing projects in Cherry Hill nor Tower on Grand have done lot cominations despite both being under construction. lol
True, and City Rescue Mission's on Kalamazoo are the main development ones. New Vision Lansing is one that is currently missing and will be updated. Most are usually just residential combos.
I could have sword LHC did submit one, but don't see it. Technically the buildings will be within the current property lines so it isn't required.
I should have mentioned that a new aerial will be uploaded around fall time this year.
BTW, look forward to seeing which ADU ordinance they ultimately approve. It's kind of rare to see them refer to competing ordiances to council at the same time.
