That is what thought too and wondered about the rest of that land. I saw a brief glimpse of depictions of the townhouses on TV6, picked roofs was what I noticed. Seems like a good plan.
Hadn't been brought up to speed on this in awhile, because it seems that originally talking about using the Meridian Mall for the township's senior center, the township decided on a new construction on Central Park Drive just west of the mall:
Township electors will be voting on a bond to fund construction and then a millage to fund operations next week. The original proposal in the old Yonkers in the mall would have been 95,000 sq ft, and this new construction will be 39,600 sq ft to lower costs. Costs were also lowered by the fact that the township will be building on land they already own. Fairly nice looking proposal:
