        <description><![CDATA[This was mentioned in one of the general threads, but we now have more detailed renderings of what the Breslin Center upgrades will look like.<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://ipf.msu.edu/_files/pdfs/construction-cj-presentation-may-14-2015.pdf" rel="nofollow">May 14th meeting of the Construction Junction</a> included a presentation on the upgrades, and says that it is currently in the &quot;Authorization to proceed&quot; stage.<br />

        <description><![CDATA[Today five designs were unveiled for the new $26 million dollar Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum.  The museum will be built at the current location of the Paolucci building near Grand River and Collingwood.<br />

        <description><![CDATA[The design that was chosen by the Committee was Zahid Hadid's design- the information needs to be updated. A good source is the MSU website which as a walk through projection for the new art museum. Groundbreaking was just held on March 16 and work is proceeding and can be seen from Grand River Avenue as you approach the Collingwood entrance, now know as Farm Lane entrance.]]>

        <description><![CDATA[Has anybody else heard about the plans for the new School of Planning, Design &amp; Construction (SPDC)?  The SPDC was started in July 2004 and is a joint venture between about three of MSU's colleges, encompassing different programs.<br />

The project is supposed to be located at the old Shaw Lane power plant.  The power plant is not in use, to my best knowledge, and will build up the central part of campus.  The current school is located just down the road at the intersection of Wilson and the road that wraps around the Stadium (for lack of knowing the name of it).  I believe they would either use both buildings, or the older building will be converted for another college's use.]]>
