No parking promotions that I've heard of. And still the ones that have existed for a long time require a retailer to stamp your parking ticket.

Even though they present it as non-student housing I fully expect it will be 85%+ students/recent grads living there. The income requirements just require that a student is not claimed on their parents tax returns. Once the building is 40%+ students…

The hotel at that site looked better than the REO gateway replacement. Thank you for the pictures! On the Ranney Park one you labeled "Looking south from park parking lot", are you sure that is looking south? The buildings on the left and the hil…

I think of it as a place for students to hone their craft, shake out their early thoughts, and either create beautiful artwork under the bridge or elsewhere. Having it so close to the art school made a lot of sense to me.

I personally love the graffiti down there. To each their own

Welcome to the board @citykid. Thanks for sharing your insights!

The first step should be to put a stop sign on N Homer St that requires local traffic to stop and yield to traffic exiting the freeway. This setup is all over metro Detroit.

Sorry for the long delay in replying here. Yes, I agree more specific project-oriented threads are a good idea. Would pinning the other long running threads be counterproductive in this though?

Long term, what percentage of these hotels (esp. the long-term ones) convert to apartments?

Great to see. Yeah that pedestrian bridge really does need an update.

Are you referring to Cosi? I think that will be the location for Raising Cane's fried chicken, https://detroit.cbslocal.com/2022/02/04/raising-canes-chicken-fingers-opening-first-michigan-restaurant-in-east-lansing/

Yes, the pole style looks so much better than strings hanging over the street.

@hood, no worries, yeah it would be great if it resized upon uploading. I would have expected that too.
-
@hood, the reason you couldn't post any more pictures is because the pictures you uploaded are so large in filesize that they used up all of the available storage I have in my hosting account. Can you resize your pictures before uploading? I had to …

Thank you for posting, it's great to see all of the pictures! In your photo album there's one from the Staples parking lot and I think the lack of maintenance in their parking lot as well as the scale of the Red Cedar project shows how much room the…
