This is really big news. I hope that the Lansing City Market will simply become either a tenant on one of the new buildings or move to a different location within downtown.

It's not the biggest development, but the significance is that this is probably the fifth time they have tried to get this passed and it will be interesting to see if the city gets what it wants this time around.

Has there been any update on the progress of the sale of the parking ramp? Now that the Accident Fund move to the Ottawa Street power station has been announced, Grand Ave will be having a lot of construction.

Can anybody think of the reason that there would still be no upward growth of the buildings? There is just the cement foundations, and it looks like they are getting ready to lay some asphalt for a first layer of the parking lot.

The Duffy Daugherty expansion is moving along pretty quick. There was steel up for the expansion when I went by there on Thursday. Here is a picture of what it should look like finished:

Yeah, I assumed that picture was pretty old. I had seen the brick on the east side of the building, but wasn't sure what the progress was like on the west side of the building since I haven't seen it since about early August.
