Having Target onboard makes the project seem much more realistic, and it gives people something tangential to hold on to. Without the project, I don't see Target adding another location in the area.

Well, I imagine much of the coordination and project management couldn't start until the City Council was on board with it. However the lack of tenants should allow this project to start sooner than most.

The City Council approved the proposal from Convexity, along with a $19.6 million brownfield plan. The city has yet to agree on a development agreement. Convexity hopes to start construction by May 2018. http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/n…

Yeah I was wondering the same too. Looking at the rendering from March 21st, it's possible that is the view from Abbot and this new rendering is the view from Grand River, or vice versa.

Yeah this is major news. Not good news for CVS around the corner but I think this will really help downtown East Lansing and the other Meijers and Krogers should be able to continue without losing too much business.

Wow, I hadn't seen the new MSU Summer Circle Theater Stage until now. I didn't know that this got built between the Auditorium and Kresge. East Lansing has something similar, though a bit smaller at the corner of MAC and Albert.
