Thank you for looking so deeply into this matter. while strongly against this, I have not had the facts to back up my opinion. I have views of the above ground lines from my windows. I can see the the line that goes to S Grand Ave and Elm and back o…

I am sad to say the cool all glass former car dealership on MLK at Holmes has been converted into a self-storage business. That is just what we needed over there! I think that there are at least five mmj shops on that corner area now. I don't know …

I did not think it was the end of the project, just the end of the Meridian part of the line. It still may have some sort of BRT service in the traffic lanes from Hagadorn out. I think this will just delay the project and cost more money for new pla…

Thank you for posting these interesting photos that I have not seen before. It may have been just an over look typo, but you said REOtown in your description, which is a recent place name for the S. Washington Ave neighborhood. I may be wrong but we…

The folks that read this page know that I grew up here, on the southwest side of Lansing and am just old enough to remember the real Scott House and the Barnes Mansion next door. We hunted for"golden doorknobs" when they tore down the Olds Mansion a…

While the left turn lane is a legitimate concern and yes they could put the buses in the traffic lanes. I think however as I have said these concerns were inflated by people who have a different agenda, and who are using this as a reason to stop som…

I heard it on the radio Verg. was saying that they will not shove anything down another town's throat,[was that what we were doing?] if they don't want the BRT we will do something else. I think I saw him on WNLS too.

I got a close up look at the new lamps in front of the Capitol. They are so beautiful with many great details that you have to stop and take a look at. The front stairs were open as well as the big front doors, which I have not seen for a long time.…

It seems like the anti crowd won and CATA is going to change the plans. Kind of a shame in many ways.

I really believe the anti-BRT crowd would be against a light-rail too. As I have said before these people can not deal with a more urban style of transit that makes it easier for folks with no cars to get there. People who don't own a car are suspec…

I took another look at the drawing on google and I missed the second story arched windows. There it sits right behind the LSJ, maybe it was part of the power plant. I would like to see photos of the neighborhoods where 496 is now. Thank you for po…

You got it right it seems to be second LSJ building. If you google image original Lansing State Journal Building there is a little drawing titled Lansing State Journal's New Home, [ don't know how to transfer it here] that looks like this building. …

Thank you for your post, it is so great to know there a lot of people who really care about Scott Park and the sunken garden, which is beautiful right now. The whole idea is rather senseless and seems almost maniacal at times. The park belongs to th…

I was sure they would cut down the trees first. I saw the old design again on the lSJ page. Michigan Ave looks like a street in a impoverished developing country.
-
It is a big building for any city, but it looks monumental on that spot on Michigan Ave. I am hoping that the parking structure will have a finish of some sort and is not going to be exposed cement that dominates the VUE right now.
-
I am hoping that it is just an over site, and no one updated the web page. That building design was judged awful.

It seems like the BWL is having a hard time keeping their story straight. The story in City Pluse basically says that if they build in another spot it "could add" .81 cents to the average bill each month. That does not sound as dramatic and dire as …

Has the design changed at all in the time they last posted one?

I heard today that Meridian Twsp. has rejected the BRT plan. Maybe the there could now be a BRT route would turn up Hagadorn to Lake Lansing RD. past Eastwood and back downtown, with a line going down Saginaw to the Lansing Mall. Just leave Meridian…

I lived on a street [lane] that had underground utilities, and it did look nice and there was never any trouble from the wild east coast weather. However it was just one of a few streets in town that had underground utilities so while our trees were…
