Frandor is kind of unique in it's location being the center of the whole urban area, and next to a major highway, I am sure that is a factor in the shopping center's success. While I do not want to see it homogenized into just another mall, there is…

There is some sort of renovation going on at the former bank? building next to the tracks on the north side of Grand River in Old Town. Does anyone know what might be going in there. It is a very nice building. There also renovation going on in one …

Great news! The paving projects are really starting pick up. North on 127 there is new pavement between Alma and Mt Pleasant so new it is still shinny! They have been doing some real patching on W. Barnes Ave. and some on Kalamazoo as well.

Thanks for the information about the Holmes Street School. Sad to hear that something was started but not completed. I wonder why they have just abandoned a very nice building. I am going to note the broken windows on seeclickfix.com There are some…

I did not see the new widows yet, the whole complex looks much better. They painted the buildings next door a nice green. I think that may have been the first paint job there in 30 years. I wonder if they are going to paint or rehad the yellowish co…

It looks like 563 Cherry Street is a drop in center for the Justice in Mental Health organization. I thought I saw the school name over the door, I will take a closer look. Parking lots, why so many? Is there ever a time when these lots are full tod…

I live over in REOtown and I often travel through Cherry Hill. It is great to see that someone is remodeling these buildings. It is a nice downtown neighborhood, I hope someone will also redevelop the big houses that are for sale up the street. They…

Very Big! This sure will fill up those spaces. I am hoping this is the plan the E.L. folks have been waiting for. I am happy the parking structure is behind the hotel not part of it. The structure seems to have a finished facade, that helps too. I w…

When I look at googlemaps I can see there could be a bike/pedestrian path to Frandor crossing the green space behind Eastern and LCC HS hooking up with one of the streets like Vine St over to Frandor. It would be a route bike commuters would more li…

Seems like the BWL listens to tiny minorities of people,[ the people who said why didn't you cut more] and is a bit thin skinned when it comes to criticism of their actions. I don't see any balance in most of these cuts. Over at the Main Street Apar…

I took the walk towards Potter park on the river trail Sunday. I was interested to see the progress on the "old Knapp's warehouse", down by the Red Cedar. They gutted and cleaned the whole area, and are starting to put in some nice looking windows a…

Oh I know that MSU is building near the campus and I was thinking of just some departments of city hall in an annex thus freeing up space in the old building., I was just dreaming of what I would do if I was "in charge"! Good luck with school, we ne…

Wow so cool, I wish you were a billionaire developer! Does the same company own the whole complex? They have also painted all of the buildings along Mt. Hope that use to be a drop forge. It has been all painted at the same time, that's why I wonder…

It will be good to have that empty area developed. I had not been down that way, and I never noticed the condos they built on Pere Marquette, it looks kind of desolate back there, but it really is in the middle of the whole city. This development is…

What a nice building. It will be interesting to see what they do here.

I think the fact that the township basically ignores those little neighborhoods on the east side has to do with race and class, they have nice side walks over in Waverly they just repaved W Michigan Ave. I often go to the the Village Party Store an…

Yes it must have been right where the ramp is now. I went to my first catered event there as the safety patrol member from Barnes Ave. The principal came and got me out of class, I was freaking out until he told me that I was going to this banquet, …

The map seems so poorly thought out,I have to remember I guess that Frandor was a huge field and really was the edge of town. I can not remember if there was a neighborhood were 127 runs through, or if it was in Lansing Township. I think a business …

Very Interesting. I never knew there was a Y there. This is the first photo I have seen of this old one. City Hall was so cool and massive. I have wondered if the used all that stone for another propose. There was a YWCA somewhere downtown as well…

I say what ever they do will be great because I have never seen a main street anywhere, except maybe Mexico[love Mexico not the roads], in worse shape. Every town and city from here to the bridge has better main streets, it is kind of a shame right …
