Point taken, but certain students need to stop trying to stonewall every good development project that gets proposed for EL.

I'm so sick of students complaining. Maybe if they stayed in the area after graduation they would have a right to complain. But students are not permanent residents and they don't deserve any voice on issues like this. I understand resident's concer…

Could this be part of what MSU will do with that $1.5 billion in contributions or whatever it was?

I found a flythrough of this project on its architect's website. Hope it's not really dead. Flythrough

I agree with you on the windows. As for the retail, there will be a bank, cofee shop and a bar/resturaunt. Supposedly the other 2-4 spaces are also leased, but I don't know for what.

It's listed by CBRE, and owned by someone in Flint (according to the property info site), owners: SETTER L ROBERT & TIILIKKA LYNN 827 E Michigan

It's around 60,000 sq ft.

Check out this story on the fully restored Mutual Building, it also includes a photo gallery. Christman did a real nice job on this. $12M renovation by Christman Co. adds dash of modernity to historic site

I've been waiting awhile to see Cedar Street School redeveloped, I'll be really glad to see it actually happen. It would really do a lot to improve that area, I think.

Check this pic out, it's posted on Google Earth also. This is by far the best picture I've seen of the Capitol Complex.

Yes, thats the one. Here are some pictures, the agenda also says this project will cost $3.5 million.

In this weeks Council Packet it talks about a proposal to rehab Cedar Street School into a medical office building. Here is the "General Project Description:" "The undersigned applicants, being the owners of the above property, hereby requests …

This is the building I was saying TechSmith should look at. It's 506 S Hosmer, the former State Liquor Warehouse, and at 80,000 sq ft it's close to the size they want. It could be a nice building with a little work, and I think this area would make …

They have some changes they still need to make just to make the building presentable. I had hoped they would replace the windows, but they really do need to at least do something with some of the window frames. As I said I am really disapointed in t…

I hope they decide on a location closer to downtown or something, which I think is likely if they choose to stay in the Lansing area. Two good buildings would be 506 S hosmer, an old warehouse thats about 80,000 sq ft, and was last listed at like $5…

A story on Spartan Internet's move to Holmes Street School: $2 Million Tech Center to Fill Remodeled Eastside Lansing School I like how they are going to add a modern entrance to the school, it's something I wish they did with some of the other s…
