The Association Project is a proposed office building that will be targeted towards various State assciations. They haven't announced where it will be or how large it will be other that it will be significant.

There was a site plan for the MSP HQ included in this weeks City Council packet. Also, Lmich, the address will be 333 S Grand if you can fix that in Emporis.

I like concept 1, it's a poor rendering but it looks like the final design would be decent. It would also really create a nice dense feel on that block. I don't like concept 2 at all though. The retail barely faces any street, and the ramp is an odd…

At the very least GM could put out an RFP, just for the off chance someone responds. Theres no excuse to hoard the property if someone out there could be willing to redevelop it.

And this garage will really open the door for more high-density, mid to high rise development in that immdediate area, which is a great area for downtown to expand into.

If he doesn' the city would likely allow him to move forward. Then the city could take the property under emminent domain, or they could just deal with less parking.

I was just thinking of something else I expect to happen in 2008. I think there will be something announced regarding the Knapps building, I've heard a rumor or two, I think somethings up.

I can't understand why anyone would be encouraging them to leave up a huge, obsolete factory next door to them. Especially when they have an opprotunity to see the properties get redeveloped, even if not in the immediate future.

I think that the design is horrible. It means that this new museum will go unnoticed just like the current one. I think it's really really plain and boring. And with this design chosen I can say I don't care about this project either way anymore.

I can't wait to see what happens to these sites. Now with these two places coming down there is a HUGE swath of land right in the middle of the city. I just hope they don't do an industrial park or something.
