Many of the areas in the masterplan are designated mixed use. I beleive this area they are talking about was supposed to be residential over retail, maybe even one of the parking garages.

I always expected this development to take 2-3 years to be completed. But once done it will be one of the coolest subdivisions in the Lansing area.

I have a feeling that Gillespie doesn't really plan on having these buildings long. He probably bought them with the intentions to either redevelop or as speculative property and he will sell when values in the area begin to rise.
