They are making a lot of progress on the steel, I wouldn't be suprised to see the entire eastern half of the structure completed this week, maybe even started on the other half.

I like the new design best, with the exception of the windows on the corner, I think they should do something to dress them up a bit.

I've seen the number of guests get real high quite a few times, even into the 30's I thought. To all those who view the site, but haven't joined or don't comment. PLEASE JOIN, and take part in the discussion, we would all love to have your opinio…

I counted notches for two more floor plates and the roof, as far as I can tell all 4 floors are accounted for. However I was counting while at a stoplight so I can't be sure I'm right. I'll be by there again today I'll recount to make sure.

They have 3 of the uprights going the full height of the building on the Larch side. It seems a little shorter than I imagined, but still of a respectable height.

Not to be too harsh, but it llooks like trash. I think it will atcually detract from the already bland look in front of city hall.

Lmich, I would assume that either the info off the agenda is the most recent, or the tax credits are transferable to different properties the MDA may consider. I sure hope that the MDA moves to an expanded Capitol View.

I'll be glad to see a Famous Taco downtown again, they are one of my two favorite resturaunts. Also, they can better sustain business because of deliveries and they are open unitl 4 on the weekends, which will help the downtown bar crowds. As for…

Supposedly there is a wine bar considering moving into the Stadium District, its not for-sure yet, and I'm not sure exactly what that is. I do not beleive it's related to the liquor license as I do not beleive its that far along and furthermore woul…

According someone I spoke with in the know, the lender on Capitol View would not allow additional floors to be built on the structure, not a money problem or anything, they just didn't want it done for whatever reason. He said that they were looking…

Theres two ways it could pan out, I get a personal loan from my investor(s) and do the project myself, or my primary investor would be a "silent partner" in an LLC, we may seek another investor for a loan only, and I would still do the project mysel…

Just a friend who also owns a cigar shop downtown. You need a suprisingly small down payment, in percantage anyway, to get a loan. About 15% is all thats required, or about $660k-850k on the $4.5-5.5 million.

Just FYI, I am looking at the feasability of taking on this project with a friend (or friends) as financial backing. I met with the listing agent today at the building, but I found out little more than what we already know. I have a meeting on May 7…

I doubt their holding out is noble in it's motivation, I think they are simply waiting for East Village to get built and hope for higher property values. It's a gamble, but it could potentially pay off big.

In and LSJ interview with David Ferguson, when he's asked "Whats next for you?" he responded: "I'm looking at other parcels on the river in the greater Lansing area. I'd like to make some announcements in the next few months. It'll be more residenti…
