  • The Stadium Project I think was largely spawned because of the Stadium District development, if it weren't for that I doubt the Cool Cities grant would have been granted, if the city would have even applied for it.
  • It was a relatively small repairable fire, it's accross from the Temple club. The good thing about these older "rowbuildings" is that they can be rebuild after fires with relative ease, the outer brick structure is what supports them.
  • There is quite a bit more equipment on site today, hopefully they take out that mound along Michigan soon. Lmich can you change the status of this building on Emporis to "under construction."
  • The ramp has something like 5-10 years of life on it maximum. So it is definately within range of demolition, but of course so is S Grand, S Capitol and the old part of the N Grand ramp. The city has to create a parking master plan because all these…
  • I assumed that he was supporting their townhouses up on Larch, it's a bit unclear. However, 319 E Grand River would appear to be a bad location for townhouses, that location should retain ground floor retail if redeveloped.
  • Thats all I've ever been able to count from the outside also, but I do know that there are 6 floors above the origional expansion. So whether it's 9 or 10 floors there is still one more to be built.
  • There is one floor to go and a pretty substantial elevator tower(s) equal to 2-2 1/2 floors. The origional building was supposed to be four. They said the building will be 11 total floors, including the basement, and that nightime rendering shows…
  • There are two strips of the rowhouses completed, about 10 or 12 single family homes completed, some occupied and one apartment building completed (one on the left.) This project is massive and will be done in phases. It is between 1/8 and 1/4 done n…
  • The Michigan Resturaunt Association Building, not too far from finishing:
  • A couple pics of the progress: From the Capitol Ramp:
  • A pan of the Stadium District from the park at the sites rear: Site prep appears to be well underway, now that there is equipment onsite I would expect the project to begin to move forward at a steady pace.
  • A picture of the Mercantile Bank building, the exterior is nearly finished (not really the best angle):
  • A panorama, one of the buildings with Ground floor commercial is nearing completion and another regular apartment building is going up:
  • A picture of the site looking Northwest from the Captiol Ramp today:
  • There is now a web cam looking towards the University Center: Live Web Cam
  • Where did you find that at? I can't seem to find any real detailed info on the site. I heard some rumors about MSU investigating "alternative transportation" as an option, but it was just that, a rumor. I'm not even sure of the source, but if MSU…
  • Jared, I seen an article in the State News that talks about an MSU Construction Master Plan. I was wondering if you had any idea on how to get a copy/download of this, since you seem to have some connection with the State News.
  • I looked in while driving down Cedar today, and site prep has begun. It looks like they have removed the curbs and have started removing the asphalt. It looked like they had already ground all the pavement down.
  • Thats good to hear, keep us updated as to when the construction actually begins.
