Now that we know it will still be a good size and height building we just have to wait and see the renderings, which I would assume will be pretty decent at the least.

Interesting article in this weeks City Pulse: Winning design of Broad museum hidden under price tag

The newest design for this project, on the property listing it says construction is anticipated to begin in spring/summer 2008. MMP flyer

I'll wait to see the site plan and renderings before passing judgement. But given what was proposed I have high expectations.

I think you got the wrong idea about this area, it is developed to north, east and south of Saginaw, but Saginaw itself has remained stagnant. This is one of at least three or four significant projects slated for vacant and/or underused land on this…

I beleive their next project will be an administrative/classroom building, at least thats what I've been told. That project's timeline would be unnaffected by the West Wing since that is supposed to be all for hospital use.

I think the target demographic is the same as previous Whitehills developments, upper-middle class to upper class people. I think this development is actually likely to be successful though. I've already heard of several other projects on this now b…

A story in the City Pulse about how the new market WILL be year-round: Year-round market It also says that hotel chains have been inquiring about the property, specifically Mariott. It says that the hotels want to see the riverfront get developed…

It's not quite that far up, maybe 1-2 miles down from I-69 on the north side of Saginaw. You don't remember where the Super 8 Cinema was?

Now the question comes, what/when will Sparrow build next? I can't wait...

I'm glad you finally got some pictures of the progress on this, I keep procrastinating. Even with the building almost complete on the outside I still can't grasp what kind of impact it will have at the street level when the businesses all open. Also…

"They" is anybody, perhaps I should have said "someone." But when I say lifestyle center I want to see second floors on most or all buildings and I want to see the surface parking lots disappear in favor of a combination of retail/office/residential…

This looks like a major project, so I created it's own forum: Whitehills Town Center forum

It says in the listing that it will be a two floor building, but it does not say what will be on the second floor, so I would also assume it will be office. Even though this is a suburban style development with tons of surface parking, I'm really, r…

Yet another building going up in the Frandor area, this one will be two floors along saginaw and be almost 30,000 sq ft. It will be built between the Walgreens and the new building with the Starbucks. They will be tearing down an old two floor offic…

An article about this development in today's LSJ: In 'soft' market, new homes in E. Lansing spark interest

Maybe they are finally rebuilding or remodling the QD. They really need to, that store in particular needs it more than many. But virtually all the QD's are coming of age and need at least some updating.

Fixed^ The buildings I find most interesting are the ones in picture numbers 53, 54, 87, 99, 108, 110 It's sad to see at the end of this report they give a number of reccomendations about saving historic structures, including specifically ment…

I am moreso talking about the smaller neighborhood buildings, like houses, rowhouses and lowrise apartments, those are the most at risk. I think that most people are smart enough to try to save a 10 or 20 floor building of historic significant. Alth…

My main hope regarding Detroit is that they make every effort to save historic structures, it seems they're doing quite well right now, but if they sway from that the losses could be huge.
