  • Another LSJ story from today: CADL approves $93.6 million library plan
  • Looks like we are seeing the first serious progress on the new CADL/Impression 5 project. City Pulse Story: Growing the Library LSJ Story :CADL to consider expansion tonight It says the Main Library would jump from 73,000 to 101,000 sq ft, and In…
  • I'm waiting to hear on all the other improvements that are in the Airport's master plan. Things like a freeway offramp right into the airport, an entire new terminal, new hangers a rail head and warehouses for UPS. According to the master plan they …
  • They said that the Bojis may open a "reincarnated" Majority resturaunt in the Hollister building, not necessarily even under the same name. I doubt we'll know for awhile.
  • I'm really glad to see those last few buildings in the 100 block be rehabbed, especially Kellys.
  • Abrams must have been a hangout for the laser light shows that I wish they would bring back.
  • I am one of those who doesn't venture on campus, mainly because I find it very confusing, I hate curvy streets. Also though, I don't want to deal with all the students during the school year and I have absolutely no reason to go there anyways.
  • I don't like the Noise either, it pales compared to the City Pulse. I tend to read the LSJ online, check news 6 and news 10, read the City Pulse and occasionally check in on the State News, Community Newspapers and Noise, with all that I think I kee…

  • The problem is that most people who would like that sort of thing would not want to live in a new subdivision, mixed use or not. They would rather have the "real thing." Thats sort of the way I feel, but only time will tell how successful it will be…

  • Where exactly are they going to be at and what is a Tim Hortons?
  • Many of the areas in the masterplan are designated mixed use. I beleive this area they are talking about was supposed to be residential over retail, maybe even one of the parking garages.
  • I always expected this development to take 2-3 years to be completed. But once done it will be one of the coolest subdivisions in the Lansing area.

  • I have mixed feelings about the LSJ, but I can't judge them compared to other newspapers, because I don't read other newspapers. Theres definately room for improvement though.

  • I'm might be the only one here, but I support the expansion of Eastwood. It's not going to take away from any Lansing shopping centers, or from downtown. and I'd rather have Eastwood be developed than W Saginaw, or either of the malls. At least East…
  • I'm really suprised to see Dayton had that many. I feel the same way though, I wouldn't consider the number of homicides to be any problem unless we consistantly get 20 or more per year, anything less and we still have a low crime rate. We have just…
  • Any thoughts on this recent "crime wave?" The way it is being reported doens't exactly help the cities image. With 11 murders so far this year, we're on track for a high-crime year, but probably still not near the crime rates in the 80's, at least w…
  • That might be cool, attracting a chain resturaunt is important to downtown. I just wish it could be a better chain than buffalo wild wings, something like TGI's or something.
  • On the note of people who comment on LSJ stories, their idiots. I am constantly amazed at their stupidity, I try to avoid reading the comments now because someone is usually saying something dumb enough to really make me mad. Sometimes its hard not …
  • New state police building OK'd It's still a rough rendering so maybe we could still see some minor to moderate changes in the design, hopefully anyways.
  • They have started to apply some of the brick on the first floor, I seen it in the dark though, so I really couldn't tell how it looked.
