Nice find- my neighborhood arial on the south side is from last summer. I see an improvement in my yard that I did last summer, but I also see my garden, which I didn't grow this summer. Based on the color of the grass and the growth I recognize …

So income is capped at $31k but rent is up to $830. It’s impossible to live there and meet recognized standards for rent to income ratios. I don’t understand the point of income caps on buildings with rents this high. I see this happen often, i…

I was there yesterday and I'm happy to report that business looks good for them. We made reservations, which looks important if you're looking for a seat there on Friday night, but they do have bar seating where walk-ins could get full service while…

That was my thought too, which really stinks because you can see how vibrant that neighborhood was before it was leveled. Speaking of, I wish I made it to the history session at CADL where this was discussed.

Stumbled across an old video labeled as South Butler from 1966. It's a striking contrast to this stretch of street today. I'm not sure exactly where the video was shot, or the cross street where the gas station can be seen- but it's interesting none…

It’s been years so I don’t expect anyone to remember- but we had a discussion about the old Lansing City Limits sign that featured the skyline and the old tower at LCC. Well, thanks to the Lansing Historical Society Facebook group I have it to share…

@gbdinlansing if you look at the stacks from an angle you will see how well the new logo represents them. But there's also dual meaning. The logo can also represent growth as a rising bar chart, or it could be seen as progress. It's a pretty great l…

My understanding is that Urban Systems has really good things planned for Laketrust and that block along Washington.

I love them. They provide an option for people that want to park outside the core and ride in without paying for parking, they're an option for routes too long to walk but not as bus-convenient, and in my case I use them if I want to travel within d…

I've already been to Arcadia a few times. The food is legit and I love that they're brewing on site. That east side neighborhood is coming together well. It's really getting attractive to prospective residents.

Seeing that beautiful building replaced by the plaza is heartbreaking. Our city leaders were horrible about preserving worthy buildings.

My understanding of the development near Lake Trust block is that it's starting in the spring. This is based on a casual conversation I had recently, but I don't have anything to support that...300 apartments or something like that. That seems like …

Word on the street is that this project is dead on arrival, that it's not happening with this developer.

Breitler is giving the city a deadline, stating basically that Lansing needs him but he doesn't need Lansing. hmm.. http://lansingcitypulse.com/article-16443-Clock-ticking-on-City-Hall-hotel-plan.html

The rooftop amenities are dope. I hope this catches on.

This amuses me, but I'm voting for it. First we take the 10.99 and then we take over the world.

Tannin is moving from Okemos to East Michigan Avenue. I love this kind of confidence in the city. https://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/2018/08/20/tannin-restaurant-italian-okemos-moving-east-michigan-avenue-lansing/926311002/

jeez, looking at the streetview it's clear that Delta wants no part of this land. They put the "Welcome to Delta Township" sign just beyond the one residential property- and far beyond the actual boundary at Waverly Rd. Streetview.

It won't happen, but it'd make a cleaner border to use the Grand River as the SE boundary of Delta Township. That little stretch of Jolly is completely cut off from the rest of the Township.
