I've known the owner Yvonne for more than 20 years. We co-taught Quaker kids for years. It's heartbreaking to see the Gateway along with her other business Go Green Trikes in utter shambles. I knew John from the Buddhist community, at another poi…

I believe the sign changed due to Martin Company no longer being affiliated with CBRE (Coldwell Banker). New logo = new signs.

The original building was two stories and in sorry shape, nothing of much architectural value. It was the original Montgomery Wards in Lansing, right across the river from Sears - now known as the Chandler Building
-
The building going up next to Admiral is a Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen.
-
It's now official; Pablo's won't open until "At least" spring of 2019.
-
It's my friend Yvonne's building now. It will house her company "Go Green Trikes" as well as the small business embryo. She's quite the community builder.

Update: Good Truckin' Diner is not moving, the business that will be next to the pub is Nail'd a high end salon. Pablo's "By the end of September" (we'll see...)

The Moores Park school building is going to be the new home for ASK Technology IT Provider. Good news for the neighborhood. It appears that the building next to REO Pub is going to be a nail salon rather than the new home of Good Trucking Diner.

I just got confirmation that Pablo's REO Town should be up and running by the end of June! Awesome news!
-
Is this the building you're referring to? http://npaper-wehaa.com/citypulse/2018/02/07/#?article=3045368

I thought that he was referring to Logan Square, Holmes and MLK. Edgewood Towne Center is pretty much up to code.
-
It's my understanding that they will only have one storefront in REO Town. I'm sure somebody will snag up the vacated locale - or perhaps they already have, hence the freshened facade?
-
I think that if Schuler's opens a new location to replace Eastwood it would more likely be in West Lansing/ Delta Twp or South Lansing/ Delhi. From what I know from a few of their employees, there are no concrete plans yet. Downtown isn't too feasi…

Great news about the Walter French Building! https://www.capitalareahousing.org/properties

There is also the storefront next to "Old Town Marquee", or perhaps the other side of Creole that they aren't using?
-
The store on Barnes and Washington has been closed for a while now. I believe the new store is the "replacement" it's called 'The Wagon' the old store was 'Speedwagon'.
-
Okay. Missed the cater-corner reference.
-
No, that is the same corner, the one with the REO TOWN sign.

This was the last I heard about it in September: http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/local/2017/09/20/extended-stay-hotel-planned-former-deluxe-inn-site-reo-town/678590001/
