It's also not really that far from the Engineering building. It's practically across the street.

Sorry, just got back on so not to back up to far, but I thought when the renderings of the traffic circle were originally released 7-8 years ago or so, that they included a fountain as part of the plan.
-
So I guess that means plans for a fountain are dead? Maybe they have been and I just didn't know.

I surprised (but I guess not surprised) that there's absolutely no dedicated park within the whole area. I mean there's trails and stuff, but you'd think they'd put in a playground or something...

I think it looks better in pictures than it does in person. When we were back in town last summer I was surprised how cheap it looked up close.

What are the odds that if the entire block is developed that utilities will get buried? Being out in the Sacramento area for so long now, one thing that always strikes me when I go back to Lansing is how many utility poles and overhead wires there a…

I used to work at the Michigan Catholic Conference there across the street. Glad to see this area getting some attention.

Also I'm only a little ashamed to admit that I would have kind of dug it if the Panda Express had been there when we lived there. Aside from the generic suburban sprawl of it.

There used to be a used video game store in the weird bi-level building that I went to a few times, but otherwise I can't even remember what was in them.

We lived on Harriet Ave (2 houses in from Michigan) before we moved out here to CA.

...face palm...

I skipped class a few times too when you'd get two trains stopping on the tracks at the same time. There was no telling when it would free up.
-
Oh I definitely crawled through a few stopped trains in my day on Farm Ln. Young and stupid.
-
Or maybe it's just a Michigan left.

Looks like a new bus stop going in on Hagadorn in front of Hubbard.

So I think the large apartment building looked pretty good in the quick few seconds it took me to pass it on the highway. Just like SkyVue though, there's no escaping the huge parking garage.
-
I came down 127 yesterday, and like gbdinlansing said, the parking garage is looming large. It's a shame they couldn't have done something to dress it up a little.
-
Was in town for a couple of days and HOLY COW is this building big. It looks great, but it is in a whole other scale vs the rest of the area. Hopefully when the development across the street gets a little more traction it will look a little less c…

Folsom, CA here. Our house is just short of 1700sqft; 3bd 2bth; built in 1985. If we wanted to right now we could probably sell for $450K. Of course then we couldn't afford to buy anything else. It's nuts.

I don't have my profile set up to email me, so I'm not sure.
