  • I can see how they are a good way to get around town. I do not have a smartphone [just a dumb one!] so, I have noticed one thing I like about them, people have to hold on with both hands so they can not use their phones will driving!
  • All good points, thank you I'm "liking" them a bit more, they may have been packing them up for winter already. I don't see them on the corner on REOtown today.
  • I am wondering how most folks feel about the electric rental scooters that have invaded many corners of the city. It looks like fun, but I don't think I will be hopping on one any time soon. I have this both sides feeling, one side they are fun and …
  • Looks pretty nice for a storage business!
  • I do not know if it is the start of construction or just utility work but there was a big backhoe pulling up the pavement behind the Lake Trust building yesterday. It would be really great if this was the start of building there. Just around the co…
  • If you would like to catch the last of the autumn color Moores Park is very colorful right now with the grove of Maples there. The river is lower than I have seen it, there are new islands and bars of stones that have formed and have plants growing …
  • It is so far back I never noticed it until this weekend!
  • Yes, the New Detroit is really exciting and unexpected. Only ten years ago most Americans thought Detroit was a dystopian hell-scape, never to return from the ashes. Of course, they were wrong then and would be amazed to see a building like this goi…
  • I recently saw a report from South Florida that sea level rise is starting to affect the expensive homes and their values, on the local waterways and canals. The report said that some are having a difficult time selling their homes and have had to l…
  • The new trees that I noticed where on the east side of the street a couple right in front of The Daily Bagel, there could be more up the street. I think it's true that these lotus trees had reached the end of their lifespan. I think these trees coul…
  • I just noticed that the new Dollar General Store has opened on S. Cedar. It sits way back from the street with parking and some grass! out front. When I drive down that way I often think about why I like it better than W. Saginaw, I think that most …
  • I'm not sure why they like to be coy about these announcements, I wish they would announce these projects when they are ready to start. I wonder what was in this place before, it did not look very nice. On my walk down to get some bagels this mor…
  • I was impressed by that 4.2% figure, all of this building starts to make sense!
  • This huge open space was just for the public to appreciate and pass through. I think it was designed to be the opposite of the Old City Hall.
  • Hey, sub--- Lansing is also home to some very nice pot shops, I suggest you find someone with a card to get you some and smoke it! You need to chill out! I grew up in Lansing [when it was racist] I lived elsewhere for thirty years and returned to my…
  • Just a side note! The new maintenance man at my building had been working at the Skyvue building and told me he quite there because the workload was just too much as the building has many defects, and now that people actually live there they have to…
  • I used to go there when I was a starving student, back in the day the Ingham County Health Department was there and provided health services to low-income folks for free if I remember correctly. The Health Department was thought of as one of the bes…
  • Does this indicate that the development is going to be built in two phases? I noticed the "future use" area on the right.
  • When I was a kid I thought the building looked like the U.N.! I was only here that one time for jury duty, there were many brakes in the trial and this is where they sent the jury to wait.
  • I think there could be a truck haul route to the landfill/concrete factories and using access from N. East Street/old 27 up from Lansing and down from I-69. Get at least some of those trucks off of Lake Lansing Road.
