I drove by the other day was amazed at the progress. tI took a minute to get used to the new look of the street. This area will resemble Old Town in the "socio-economic" aspect - meaning high and low income living within a block of each other.

I grew up in this neighborhood in the 60' - 70's, attended Central School across the street from the (then) Bird residence which is the house that was demoed. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the asking prices for these new condos.

Regarding movie theatres in East Lansing. The State Theatre on Abbott Rd. and Campus Theatre on Grand River (next to Student Book Store) lasted until the very early 80's.

Just so I'm clear, what street will the condo face? Bailey or Albert? I've been in the area for 40 years and grew up on Cowley Ave. in EL. The urbanization of ol' EL appears to be in overdrive, kind of like MSU's pace of development. Thanks!
