I'm tired of developers big ideas. EL's north side should be a lesson. Scale it down already. Turning EL into skyscraper central isn't doable anymore.

GR > Lansing > A2 > Detroit light rail has been bandied about for years re: SEMCOG, etc. It's great to see a discussion of light rail in this area but economic woes and Big Three influence will keep these plans in the fantasy department.

I drove by the other day was amazed at the progress. tI took a minute to get used to the new look of the street. This area will resemble Old Town in the "socio-economic" aspect - meaning high and low income living within a block of each other.
