I didn't know that the Krogers and former EDS buildings (and their associated buildings) were that old. For some reason, I imagined they'd replaced earlier buildings, but they're just remodels?

They put out a new rendering of this one looking up Abbot, this week. Weirdly, they didn't render in the Graduate Hotel rising literally next door. lol

I noticed while I was out, today, work being done on the old vacant Colonial Bar & Grill property at the southeast corner of MLK and Holmes. Went and looked it up on the city website, and apparently a project was listed in late August that incl…

No, the switch-over doesn't happen until next year.

I really want to find out how many spaces they are building. I remember even when they had the LPD North Precinct in a significant part of the space under renovation, that even with all of the cop cars and their personal cars, the lot was never fil…

Another parking lot. Looks like northern end of the Motor Wheels factory site between Saginaw and Oakland has been paved over. It's weird to me they'd do this unless it also means they are gearing up to build (or at least market) the additional re…

I really think it's kind of template for what can be done at the Kroger and Logan Square. I just wish council would come up with an ordinance, already, that would mandate/require any future lots or redos of existing lots have so many islands with t…

It looks like most of the trees have been planted at the new self-storage facility where EDS used to reside. They are ornamnetal trees (beautiful colors), and they are going to look really great when fully matured. So happy to see that parking lot…

New rendering and progress from the general contractor: I liked it better when it had some light-colored trimming, quite frankly. Fortunately, it looks like it's turning out better in reality than the cheap rendering.

The "Below the Stacks" mural festival is really bringing color to the city. I noticed one of the murals along a building on East Oakland, today. Here is one example from their facebook account: Edit: https://www.lansingcitypulse.com/stories/a-s…

Yep, the Target is around 23,000 sq ft and Meijer will be around 37,000 sq ft. I drove by the Target this morning; it's still looked as busy as it was the first time I saw it. I bet the Meijer market will be quite successful.
