Thanks GB, I'm a little sensitive about the issue. The Mission was founded by the Doltons in 1911, rented space on Michigan Avenue and purchased the building at 611 Michigan Avenue in 1948. My Mom's best friend was a granddaughter of the Doltons an…

Yeah, let's hide the homeless and less fortunate. Certainly wouldn't want visitors to think that we have homeless and indigent people in Lansing of all places! We should tuck them away, lest someone think poorly about our glistening city. Sorry, t…

I know an employee of Ellison, they're waiting until next summer to potentially open. We'll see.

It's the gas station that is currently Admiral/Marathon at K'zoo and Clippert. My older brother worked there while in high school.

The old Sam's Club has a new owner! And no, it's not another self-storage, thankfully! https://www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/news/2019/04/26/sams-club-lansing-owner-outdoor-store/3572060002/

This is how their marketing brochure portrays the building's update. :-)

Typically the reason for leaving one wall standing is for tax purposes. Meijer did that across the street from the new Panera's. If you leave a wall standing, you're taxed at the old building rate as a 'remodel' instead of a 'new build'. I would r…
