Where in the Eastwood area is Penney's supposed to be at? I haven't been in there lately.

Sorry LMich, I don't check the site regularly. I know I'm in the minority, but to me I don't think it's terrible when I look at it. I agree that it's not a great design, like the current headquarters (I love that building!), but to me it looks fine.…

I'm surprised at the "Retail/Residential low rise building (4 stories)" in the parking lot along Grand River next to the People's Church. I always figured that the church had bought that land from McDonald's in order to have their own parking lot. I…

It's funny. To me roundabouts are fine. The only problem I have with them is other drivers. ;-)

I was down there as well. My only complaint is that it would be nice if they could spread out a little more. The vendors down towards where the stage was were very crowded, which made it difficult to move from place to place. Other than that, I love…

I also heard that about JC Penney possibly moving in there. And I agree that they have expanded north far enough. We don't need the sprawl that Grand Rapids currently has.

I think it's going to be a great improvement. As usual, in the comments of the LSJ story, there are some uninformed people asking why the Broads would give money for a project like this instead of helping the students. Oh, how a little research help…

The current locations also make it a pretty good walk to class for some students.

I wish they'd move all power lines underground. TO me, it looks a LOT better, and it's also a way to keep them from being damaged during storms.

I've been reading this for a few months now. Love to see the new developments in the Lansing area. :-) Lived in the Lansing area all my life.

The name of the restaurant is Taj. Last time I was by there it was still open, but that was a couple weeks ago. Don't go by there much since I moved from Groesbeck to the south side.

I always feel that the Riverwalk is an overlooked asset to the area, but one that also has a lot of potential.

I think this would be a great addition to the area. I've been watching the Riverwalk expansion with great interest. Happily for me, it now connects to Scott Woods/Hawk Island, which is right by my house. I also remember a couple years ago that Merid…
