Interesting design, very different.

Yea Finally! How many years did that take?

Just when it seemed that Pablous renovation had totally stalled there is a cement truck pouring at this site today! Down the street the new brewery has installed large windows on the north side of the building. It looks like progress is continuing…

This weekend I noticed a pedestrian walkway protection scaffolding around the old Bank of Lansing building/Comerica Bank, on N. Washington at Michigan. I am hoping they put this up for some sort of renovation and not because of falling debris from t…

I hope to see the progress there soon.

It looks like they were moving the fencing all the way out to the curb, I was driving so I think? they had pulled up the sidewalks on Abbot. Very cool to see something happening in this corner.

This looks like a very good idea. I guess the entrance would have to be north or south of the pedestrian bridge, I think losing the parking is not so bad. There are so many parking spaces in that area. It might not be a bad idea to have some sort of…

That is good news. Maybe something is going on inside, I still only see people going to the boxing gym there. It is a very interesting concept and I hope to see it underway soon.

Up, on Malcolm X the Main Street Apartments have put up new large signs rebranding the complex as the ReoTown Apartments. I did not notice any renovation going on otherwise, maybe they are putting in granite countertops so they can charge $1,200 a m…

I think any development of that part of town is great, kind of strange that such a large piece of land is being developed without some notice of what is being built there.

I got all excited when I saw an excavator there last month, but they were just moving an ATM closer to the building. The Urban Systems folks seem to have a lot of plans but have yet to start any of them. I know it's all about the money and getting t…

This building looks like Lansing to me, a nice looking urban apartment building the fits into its surroundings not trying to look like something else. I have not heard that the rest of the project there has begun. I hope we can get some more shovels…

That sounds like a good plan, the Avenue has the old City parking lot behind it so I thought they must be planning something different for this project. It's fun to watch it go up!

I was thinking the same thing this photo looks like it could be Lansing. It seems strange to me that Dayton Ohio is more developed than Lansing.

Thanks!

I was thinking that they might have saved the mature trees that were part of the old landscaping, and make them part of the greener landscape. Sorry, I try to keep the tree rants down, I just noticed this was the first thing that was done at the sit…

This one has a smaller space than The Avenue building, are they building a parking structure?

I know I should link these stories but I do not know how!. On the Lansing history Facebook page, they are talking about the Civic Center, many have very fond memories of that place. It would be important as you say to make this new project a civic…

I had read that Mayor said there could be an announcement about a PAC before the new year, and the people from Urban Systems[?] saying they have the land to do this now and that such a facility would not cost the city much money. Perhaps he meant th…

I have been wondering if anyone has any thoughts or insights about this potential development? Mayor Andy said an announcement could be coming in the next few days.
