Did you get a chance to stop and look at those posters on the fence? I've been meaning to check them out, I assume they have something to do with th rivertrail or something.
-
I didn't know they were owned by the same person, I wonder if there is more to the story?

They are still working on it, I drive by there everyday. There has been very little progress, but there have been people onsite doing things. The only thing I can figure is their letting the footings set, but I'm guessing we should see some good pro…

I was thinking the same thing, although even if it closes in 2025 it will be awhile before anything gets tore down, if ever.

Welcome thecommish! I never really went t, or even noticed that store but I've been hearing people talk about it closing. It sucks that it closed but the little bookstores can't make it anymore, even the community newscenter in Frandor is closing.

I really hope that they move into Lansing somewhere, or that they at least build a significant building. This sounds like a great thing, but I guess I'll hold judgement until more info is released.

I just looked at that the other day, and I'm pretty suprised that they have that many leased/sold, it's a good sign.

I really like that view looking south over the Capitol Grounds, I've never seen a pic with that view, I've never even looked much from that direction. It would be a bit better if Capitol View were expanded and something tall could be built where the…

I seen it too, hopefully the rendering will be in tomorrow's LSJ.

I just seen some new floorplans for Capitol Club, the basement, 1st and 2nd floors are unchanged, but the others have changed. The "club" level floors (5-8) will be in an 'H' shape and the "tower" level floors (9-18) will be narrower. I did a basic …

I'm assuming we should see some new plans/renderings soon, if not at todays press conference.

The 500 block likely won't see any major development until they do the CSO/streetscape work in 2013 (from Kalamazoo to 496.) Also, just FYI, the parking lot just north of the Downtown Party Store was sold to Abraham Realty, and I've been told that t…

I guess there's that one too, but the point is still the same, vacancy rates are extremely low. That helps to drive further development.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that a wireless store will be opening at 408 S Washington in October. I don't know how well they will do, but this would fill the only remaining storefront on Washington, and thats great news.

I should also mention that the origional cost for this was supposed to be $5-$6 billion. That seems like a more realistic cost for this kind of project, unless it's a completly different project.

There was a story in todays LSJ about the possibility of a new particle accelerator at MSU. This would be a huge project, and MSU has a good chance at landing it. If MSU wins, isotope project could add jobs, impact region

I noticed it just the other day, I'm glad to see it gone though. Also, theres a story in the LSJ on the old Michigan Refridgeration Warehouse on Kalamazoo - Dispute delays demolition of site of '06 fire on Kalamazoo

I'm very optomistic about the business in Cherry Hill park, despite the lack of details. It sounds like a great concept, I just hope it will be visible enough to do well. The pedicab, at $3 for 2 blocks is impractical, and will not survive, unles…

I don't see how NuUnion building a new branch here isn't good progress, this is a suburban part of to I don't see how a suburban styled building causes any problems. That Cedar/Penn/96 intersection is huge mess, both it's own design and the properti…

I'm glad to see that this building will have some good height. It should add to the skyline quite a bit.
