  • Lansing Township gave their final approval for the project last night: Lansing Township OK's housing, retail plan View of a model. (screenshot from WILX's story on the project)
  • I was just going through some of my old pictures on my computer and I found an old rendering of a Lansing Center expansion. I can't remember where the picture came from, but I think it's from the proposal under Hollister to add 250,000 sq ft of spac…
  • I'm pretty happy with the design too, I'm happier to see the height. I was figuring on the buildings being two, maybe three floors, but not five. Now I'm wondering if the other buildings will look like this or if they will have multiple floors at al…
  • Well, I'm not from Lansing Twp, and it looks like no one else here is, but I'd certainly like to see some renderings and site plans along with your story. Besides, without more details of the project most opinions you gather wouldn't be specific to …
  • I'm really happy with the job they did fixing up that building. It's especially nice given the difficulty I'm sure they'll have find a tenant for such a small space.

  • LSJ article on the progress of the Knapp's redevelopment: State eyes renaissance zone for Knapp's project There's also a City Pulse article on Knapp's this week, but it's not online yet. They said that they will be knocking out a section of glass…

  • Capital Gains has an article on the building proposed for Marshall & Michigan, they also show a new rendering: $1.4M mixed-use project to bring 14,380-sq ft of new development to Michigan Ave

  • I'm just glad to hear that they are breaking ground on Wednesday. I wonder if it's just a ceremonial groundbreaking or if they are going to start major construction right away.
  • Details of Eastwood plan Lansing Township board tables Eastwood decision Not sure why they would postpone a decision when it seems to be pretty strait forward to me. The LSJ article went further in detail about the plans. NCG will be adding…
  • A story on the two Ann St developments: Developments set for downtown East Lansing I'm glad to hear that these projects are moving along quickly, hopefully they stay on track.
  • I gotta get by there to see that. Looks good. Does anyone know when the new Rivertrail along the west bank is going to open?

  • I went and found the story on their site: Expansion Planned For Eastwood Towne Center The project is more extensive than what I had thought; 125 apartments, 15 restaurants, 75k sq ft of retail and a 716 space parking structure. I'm wondering what…
  • This is the building that is proposed to go next door:
  • I don't really like the design either, it looks a lot like the newer Stonehouse condos in EL, with half-exposed parking on the first floor. I wish people wouldn't always go with such bland architecture around here.
  • I'm hoping that this is going to be targeted more towards Cooley students, which it may very well be. If that's the case then I would agree with you that it wouldn't effect the overall downtown housing market much. I'm wondering about the number …
  • I like the rendering of the building that it shows in the banner ( posted the image below.) It's sounding to me like this project is essentially a sure thing. I hope this, along with the project next door and City Center II get built and soon.
  • ...And here's the article: Lansing YMCA site could get new life in $22 million deal I'm a bit unsure about this project. I'm almost always for new construction downtown, especially residential construction, but I don't like the idea of building…
