I think it would be awesome to see that stretch of Washington with mid and high-rises. I think thats fairly realistic too, especially if this project ends up going well..

That's a neat idea about the list thing. Going back further a few of us were posting on UrbanPlanet quite regularly. Does anyone else remember LansingSucks.com?

I just thought I'd point out that the website is three years old as of a few days ago (looking at when Jared joined). It's hardly seemed that long to me.

I noticed that on my way to school today. I'm very glad to see this wasn't just talk.

It would seem to me that with all these tenants lined up this project would be a slam dunk, any problems are likely with the developer.

It sucks, but I sort of expected a stalemate. I just hope demand reaches a point where their forced to compromise, because that's probably what its going to take.

From the sound of it they have had some tentative plans for this site for awhile. I had heard about a year ago about an individual trying to buy the property, but the owner was requesting a far too high price.

It ought to be interesting to see how this one unfolds. I wonder when we'll see some plans for the site?

The fencing is mostly completed, the signage is up and all the doors and windows are in on the MSP Headquarters, I haven't when the first people will be moving in for sure though.

The Goodrich building was completely remodeled less than ten years ago and as far as I know it hasn't had a tenant since. It was on the market for somewhere around $1.5 million for a long time.

Speaking of Eyde, is there any word on the 7 Block site in downtown Lansing?

City Market Breaks Ground They mention that the city of Lansing is "building a 400 car parking deck on the back side of the Lansing Center to accommodate parking for the new market and the convention center." They say it as if it's already been e…

It would be pretty neat if more bars & clubs opened up on Pere Marquette that would make for a neat district, especially with some new construction behind Clara's.

I was by there and I didn't see any demolition. There were some windows open on the second floor that I think were closed before. The only thing I can guess is that they are prepping for demolition or doing some sort of abatement.

That's interesting. I'll be by there tonight to see whats going on.
