I swear someone is using this website as a teaching tool or something. I just saw 57 guests currently viewing the site. Crazy!

The rendering looks great, I'll be curious to see what (if anything) they put on the riverside of the development. Almost certainly whatever is there will be restricted to the residents use.

Yes, I shop downtown.

I was just talking to a friend of mine the other day about this. Not that he's the best mayor in the world or anything, but Bernero gets a lot of guff for doing and supporting some of this stuff, but in reality he's been able to push through things…

Eh, I comment here all the time, and I never have anything inspiring to say!

Pretty cool, the center of it is much more understated now, for good or bad. The 2 bedroom layouts are pretty sweet looking.

I just logged in and noticed there were 17 guests currently viewing the site. How about that!?!

I drove by the Verlidden plant today, there's not much left except the outer wall. At least from what I can tell. It'd be really interesting to get in there and look around. But I don't feel like getting arrested.

The Chavez "sculpture" is not what I was expecting. If that is, it ends up looking like what's in the picture. For some reason I had this picture of a statue of the guy, like Sparty, but less muscle-y.

Don't get me wrong, I like Famous Taco too. They have the best black beans of any mexican place in Lansing. And their queso dip is awesome. But I am a Skyline fanatic!!

I don't know, there's about 50-billion coffee shops opening up too, they can't all sustain business at the same time can they?
-
I was taking another look at that picture of the skyline, and got a little bit of a chuckle. All that Lansing iconography, the Capital building, Boji tower, the power plants, and...... a giant hotdog billboard.

I think that it was mainly the location that was the problem, but I also think that it was a largely misunderstood restaurant. Most people hear chili and think the same thing you do. But Skyline is actually "Cincinatti-style" chili. Which is a gr…

That's one of those buildings downtown that looks scary unstable to me. The brick work is cracked an crooked (if I'm thinking of the right building). It's amazing what can be saved and rebuilt. Along with news about that corner, the fantastic an…

Is that the bridge on Cedar, just before the industrial and older retail area?
-
Dude, Jared, is that you in those pictures?? I've been in class with you at MSU, CSE 331 last semester. I'm the bald guy, (but I where a hat a lot). Weird...

No, the crazy looking building the police precinct is in. With the weird angled roof line. I went there a while ago and the whole middle of the building was still empty. Was it build exclusively for the LPD? I suppose that was a while ago though…
-
Speaking of that area, what's the story behind the building the police precinct is in? It seems like such a strange (and large) building to have been built, and yet be largely unoccupied?

It's WONDERFUL!! I can't help but wonder though, how they're going to replace all that lost revenue from cheap speeding tickets.
