I lurk, but mostly because I've moved away (CA) and just enjoy trying to keep up with what's going on "locally". I don't have a lot to actually contribute.

If they're going to rework the commuter and staff parking into greenspace, they could just be planning on expanding Shaw in that section to a 3-4 lane road. The merge in front of Shaw by the planetarium is pretty weird though.

Demographically though, putting it on the east side of town makes more sense; generally higher income over there.

I'm out in CA now, but they just covered all of our parking lots at work with these same panel setups. Now everyone fights to get a covered spot everyday!

Even as someone who more than did my part to keep that Taco Bell open during college, just about anything would be better at that corner. Hope it works out.

That would be awesome, hope you guys can do it; but I'm out in CA now. I still lurk and comment because we're so tied to the area (family and friends). Still feels like home in a lot of ways even though we've been out here for a few years.
