Noteworthy points include the city making moves for the future improvement of Valley Court Park and the possibility of a new apartment building by a group called Artspace where the Valley Court Community Center is now.
This is a pretty interesting little plan, a developer plans to tear down a single story storefront next to the old downtown EL Barnes & Noble and construct a new two floor building with a restaurant, rooftop patio and a bocce court. The building will cost $2.5-$3 million and be 7,800 sq ft, the want to open early next year so it would seem things will move quick with city approval. It seems like a fun concept and I like the look of the place.
No, there was a proposal for one on West that originally included a dispensary, too. They were trying to do a lot split or consolidation or something, becuase the other parcel didn't have street frontage, but the planning commission denied them.
