The East Lansing City Council will vote on Tuesday to officially create the authority and establish the boundaries of it.
East Lansing, Lansing, and Lansing Township will all need to approve of the authority to make it succeed. The Lansing City Council is expected to vote on it on August 24th. Lansing Township will need to make zoning changes before it can approve the authority. The zoning changes aren't likely to be made until the Fall.
