  • It was reported in the LSJ that United Airlines will return to Lansing in early May. They will offer four! flights to Chicago. This is good news as it will increase the number of seat and times available for Lansing travelers. Many friends of mine have said they would fly all the way to Lansing if the connections were shorter and flights were at better times of the day. I don't know the schedule, but I think that with four flights a day you could fly to Chicago for business and return the same day. Now I would like to see Amtrak add some more trips on the Blue Water so you could take the train for a day trip too.
  • East Lansing is (other than Chicago) easily the biggest stop on the Blue Water route. You hate to neglect the cities to the east, but I have wondered if even just a Chicago <-> EL run... it would almost certainly be more cost effective for Amtrak anyway, if it would give us a second train per day.
  • That is an interesting idea, another international train connection via Port Huron [which there was for a long time] could add some trips to the Blue Water. Train vs Plane when you get off the train you are in Chicago!
