New website for City Pulse which is interesting, but the link should still work. Supposed to see "dirt moving by the end of the year." 24 more condos than predicted (intersting since Capitol Club Tower just downsized 4 floors because of supposed weak demand). Good to hear it's moving forward.

I resized the elevations so it would be smaller files to download:

I like how the new building will wrap the corner. By end of the year do you think he means end of 2008?

By the way, the new City Pulse website is awesome! It is really going to change how newspaper websites work. If this site was around a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't have had to scan a copy of the newspaper for the Capital Club Tower ad.
  • I'm interested to see how the mixed us building will look, by the description it won't be much smaller than Kalamazoo Gateway.
  • I guess I'm still stuck in a "end of school year" mindset. It will be real nice to see some progress made soon.
  • I'm sure it will make it, but the way the economy is looking it may start in 2010-2011, like a lot of the other pending projects may.
  • I like that site plan more than the old one, I really don't think you could ask for a much better one. The difference I like the most is the added density along Ottawa, I wouldn't mind getting rid of the houses facing Ottawa though. All in all I think this something us downtown development supporters and the neighborhood people will be happy with.

According to this City Pulse article, the project is now being referred to as Sobi Square. Here is a link to the website for the project: http://sobisquare.com/.
  • As a computer person, if they are going to use the initials of the surrounding streets, I would have preferred BIOS. :-) Bois would also have worked (French for wood).
