I agree. Nothing that will awe anyone, but this type of infill will bring a lot more life and activity to this corridor.

The first step should be to put a stop sign on N Homer St that requires local traffic to stop and yield to traffic exiting the freeway. This setup is all over metro Detroit.

The TechSmith office looks great. I'm so happy they relocated to East Lansing instead of moving out further.

@Lymon89 have you visited the Texas capital? Their visitor center and underground complex is really nice and both theirs and ours share the same architect if I remember correctly.

Wow these are cool pictures! Thank you for sharing

Sorry for the long delay in replying here. Yes, I agree more specific project-oriented threads are a good idea. Would pinning the other long running threads be counterproductive in this though?

@hood Yeah good call. I think that would be helpful. Especially if people want to post progress photos.

In my opinion, it's because these aren't hotels for tourists. The extended stays are or will become housing for those who can't afford or won't get approved to rent an apartment. Further, groups such as the Lansing Housing Commission could give vouc…

Right. These can get passed by zoning today but in 10 years if the market isn't where it is today, I expect the City would allow conversion of half of the property to apartments.

Long term, what percentage of these hotels (esp. the long-term ones) convert to apartments?

Great to see. Yeah that pedestrian bridge really does need an update.

Yes, the pole style looks so much better than strings hanging over the street.

@hood, no worries, yeah it would be great if it resized upon uploading. I would have expected that too.

@hood, the reason you couldn't post any more pictures is because the pictures you uploaded are so large in filesize that they used up all of the available storage I have in my hosting account. Can you resize your pictures before uploading? I had to …

Thank you for posting, it's great to see all of the pictures! In your photo album there's one from the Staples parking lot and I think the lack of maintenance in their parking lot as well as the scale of the Red Cedar project shows how much room the…

Thank you for posting those drawings. That looks great, and I'm glad that the main entrance faces the park. It will be a nice view to walk out of each day.

"I don't believe the Lansing or East Lansing numbers.", well I think the student numbers will be depressed since MSU wasn't having on-campus classes during the census. There has been a notable migration to the exurbs that can be seen by the growths…

I was going to comment on that. I think the rendering is actually old. The second tweet mentions it being a 7 story building, so I would be surprised if they made the typo. But maybe that is what they are referring to as, "the opportunity for up to…

As it's on MSU property does it need to go before City Council? None of their other buildings do.
