The plans for this should be public, right? I'd expect that they are on the City of Lansing's website somewhere.

Lingg Brewer's proposed development will go before the City Council again on Tuesday. Here are two projections of what the project would look like if it was approved: Streetview: Alley view:

Yes, I should have mentioned Kedzie. Another nice thing about this project is that they are going to remove their driveway access point on Kedzie and move it to the alleyway behind the building. This will create a better environment for pedestrians.…

There is a proposal to tear down the office building located at 903 E Grand River and replace it with a mixed-use building. The building would likely keep it's same occupants, Foster & Harmon PC. The proposal is to build a 4-story mixed use b…

A couple hotels are in the process of being converted to apartments. The Marriott hotel at the corner of Hagadorn and Grand River in East Lansing as well as the former Clarion hotel near Dunckel and 127 are both in stages of being transitioned to st…

I drove down this section of Michigan Ave today. The westbound bike lane ends right near the beginning of Ranney Park (or possibly Frandor Plus, my memory here is foggy). Interestingly enough, the eastbound bike lane begins at the intersection of Cl…

I would hope that at the least they put in a pedestrian signal to make crossing the road safer.

Nice! The section of Michigan Ave between Grand River and Frandor Plus now has sizable bike lanes on the sides of the road. This reduced the number of motorized lanes by one in each direction.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the parking lot behind MSUFCU on Albert Ave that was owned by the city has apparently been sold. There is a sign towards the front of the lot saying that it is privately owned. I haven't seen this anywhere else, but I am…

The Delta Triangle in East Lansing has been getting some good density over the past 3-4 years. I am expecting that area to keep increasing in density as long as the city continues to upgrade the zoning for the neighborhood.

Many of these developments probably won't be student housing in 20 years. I imagine that housing will be built closer to campus, it is just taking far too long for it to happen. The weird part about most of the new construction is that it is desi…

Wow, great details about the project design. Was that information on one of the news websites?

Well there is a 425 agreement in place, and in less than 99 years this part of Bath will become part of East Lansing as I understand it.

There is another development that has already begun site work near Chandler Crossings in East Lansing. This development is located just south of Coleman Road and is not affiliated with the development discussed in the previous comments. "NEW BUSIN…

The first post on this thread is from 2006, but the second comment makes it seem that we knew about it for a little while before this thread was created. So that puts it the timeline of this site to at least 7 years.

DTN has been chosen unanimously as the project developer for the Park District. DTN Vice President and former MSU offensive lineman Colin Cronin said the next step is working on a pre-development agreement with the city, which would detail the pro…

Yeah I had read about it but couldn't find more details on the Bath Township planning commission website. It was confusing to me as to if it was going to be located next to the strip mall on Chandler Road or next to The Beaumont on the piece of land…

Oh, maybe they could have given them the runaround. Most likely they required the installation of the community center and other placemaking adjustments, but overall they let them build on what are basically wetlands and just create some retention p…

With the Capstone development across the street, I think Meridian Township has signaled that they are willing to expedite development in the Hannah Plaza area, most likely to make up for decreased tax revenues in other parts of the township.

The Whole Foods will technically be in Meridian Township, as Coral Gables is the first property on the Meridian Township side of Grand River. I know people really wanted a Whole Foods to take the place of the grocery store at Hagadorn and Grand Rive…
