Are they going to update that stop light there next to the MRA building so it's not hanging on the wire like that. It would be nicer to see a more permanent/modern stop light.

Before I even read your comment LMich, I was thinking the same exact thing. I can't remember if the old structure will still be used or if it will be torn down, but I am interested in seeing how they are going to transition the exterior design betw…

I got some photos of the bridge reconstruction on Hagadorn Road over the Red Cedar River. These photos are taken from the pedestrian bridge, which is untouched by the construction. My page on Flickr

I went and took photos of the Stadium District yesterday. My page on Flickr

There is an article in today's LSJ about Virginia Ave: Lease is up They say that 14 of the 23 homes have been acquired.

Nice photos LMich. The second phase looks better than I had expected. I didn't think they would be walkups, more like individual detached units.

I sure hope thats accurate. I wonder how the new design has changed.

I have an update on the construction. The trusses for the roof are going in and they appear to very far along in the construction. Units should be ready to move in to by Fall. Here are some pictures: My PhotoStream on Flickr

No, it's not illegal, but it definitely would unethical to do so. And East Lansing doesn't have rent control laws, but the general idea of rent control laws wouldn't work in this type of situation. Rent control laws work to keep the rent from incr…

I like C and E. I like E's rivertrail and winter garden plaza. I like C's building orientation. I think there is something very interesting to call to attention or to predict. Recently The Pierce Company, the developers of this project, purcha…

Yeah, a photo tour on my behalf is needed too. I have got to plan to try and make some time to go out and take photos. I think I'll actually be able to do so pretty soon though.

I have found copies of the five original design concepts if you would like to look through them. The current design is a hybrid of a couple of these. [ulist][li]Concept A[/li][li]Concept B[/li][li]Concept C[/li][li]Concept D[/li][li]Concept E[/l…

nice to hear! as this is the third phase, and with each phase having a slightly different design, how do you think the design will change this time?
-
Yes, the delay is due to the property acquisition phase and also the funding. The possibility of it being developed in two phases deals with the market demand and the funding.

From their website: Location: The site is bounded by East Grand River Avenue (north), Hagadorn Road (east), Bogue Street (west) and the Red Cedar River (south). The site is contiguous to MSU on two sides (Bogue and Red Cedar River). Developer: T…
