It definitely would be worth it to at least voice your opinion at City Council. It would be nice to organize a group of people who are against the proposal and get some publicity about this proposal.

The houses on Louis St are now being torn down. I went by today and there was a large backhoe tearing up some of the properties. The new development will be an apartment building that was spoken of earlier on this discussion.

I went to the Juneteenth celebration today near Sexton and on the way at the corner of Kalamazoo and MLK there was a sign that said a future office building was coming soon. The sign had a rendering on it, so next time I go by I'll try and take a p…

I got the copy of the RFP for Lot 1 just a couple minutes ago. I'll upload it later tonight, but some of the bullets to take from it are: The redevelopment proposal must be "premier quality" The project must be mixed-use with at least 20-25,000…

Yeah it is, there is a large parking lot right there on Albert. Here is a satellite shot:

Yeah, I can't understand why they are trying to put a movie theater in the East Village. At tonights City Council meeting, they will be introducing a Request for Proposals for Lot 1. A movie theater would be a great addition to the core of downtow…

There is an article in the LSJ today about progress moving forwards with the MSP proposal. I just hope that they will not go forward with the current design. The last things we need are walls next to the sidewalk at Kalamazoo and Grand.
