I think a more regional focus between all municipalities is the only way Lansing is going to emerge as the great Capitol city we all know it can be. I believe. We are finally headed in that direction, I've notice that we are focusing on tricounty as…

I saw on mlive today some of Ann arbors new development proposals. Even they're new developments seem more paramount to Lansings. Not to be negative but Lansing has to be a little more tasteful and chooses with the new developments we allow, we seem…

Why do they announce in media all of these "would be, could be, hopefully" developments?
-
I like the incorporation of the old with the new. I saw Simular ype of development in Toronto last fall. Old architecture facade with built into a completely modern new sky scraper.

I aggree about the midtown gesture. There are midtowns a everywhere, it is almost just as common as having a downtown. Very common for (growing) metros. Definitely not proprietary or that recognizable to Detroit.
-
I don't think we should base what we call areas of our region on our vicinity to Detroit.

Solar project for one of former gm sites in Lansing. http://www.midwestenergynews.com/2015/03/11/planned-project-would-nearly-double-michigans-solar-capacity/

I don't think so much that a mixed development would help the historical museum/library, but the immediate area. Such a wast of space with the over compensating parking lots. It's a real loser.

This is going to be a nice addition downtown. I would like to see the big lot in front of Michigan Historical Museum filled with residential and retail. such an eye sore and waste of space. especially for a place with such low visitor numbers. I was…

I saw this, it's catching a lot of flack on Facebook. Lol, everyone outside of Lansing, concerned about the use of tax dollars.

What are Locks?

I agree with Michigan/GR BRT is going to be a major trans line, Huge for development and blending downtown and campus together really nicely.
-
I think by claras or reotown both could be successful. I believe someone mentioned before about a possibility of have a rail or light rail shuttle to and from old town and reotown, by the way of downtown. I think this would be a good idea. The only…

Yes, there use to be a day when the pride of a corporation was their logo raised in the downtown skyline. Any chance of the fever return to our downtown?
-
What rail is that use to exist at the old depot in reotown or where claras is in the sparrow district?
-
I have a silly story to point out why it is silly that downtown lansing is not a central depot for all public transportation services in the area. Point in case, I drive uber on weekends. I picked a lady up from Michigan flyer stop in EL Downtown wh…

Also on the developers side of things, it is nice to see when they have the stake holder meetings when considering developments. i think the quality of the development can increase that way.

I hope that your are right on this hood. The renderings shown vs the examples displayed from the planning brochure they made are night and day. The planning brochure displayed examples from other cities.

I agree we are starting to get the picture now, because we can taste the dust from the others kicking in our faces for so long because we are always behind them. But this will be my last comment on the matter that is negative. On a positive note, i …
