As a South Lansing resident, I think this is definitely progress. That motel has been an eyesore for such a long time. I think that a credit union in this location is a very good fit. As a retail area, I'm surprised that there aren't more nearby.

Yep. I think it will be great. I can't wait.

I just saw that in my email. Moo-Ville has been a pretty nice success story. For a place located so far out by itself(intersection of M-66 & M-79), it does a lot of business. Nice to see that I will be able to get their ice cream without driving…

I support the library millage. I really like the idea of combining Impression 5 with a new main library. I am a big believer that the library system is very important to the area. I'd like to see the facilities in some of the older buildings updated…

According to today's State Journal, the proposed hotel just behind the Howard Johnsons on Trowbridge will be a Holiday Inn Express.

They really need to move the baseball and softball fields away from the floodplains along the river.

Driving past McGuire Park (by the Jolly/Aurelius intersection) today and I noticed a sign for the River Trail extension from Scott Woods/Hawk Island to McGuire Park. I didn't see much on the sign except that C2AE is the main name that you can see. I…

That's too bad. I'd like to see more stuff in that Tech Park.

I believe that there are already a lot of people that have put down deposits for the units.

Speaking about last in the Big Ten, it'd be nice to see the pool inside IM West replaced. I don't know why this came to mind on such a cold day. It's way behind most of the other schools. EMU has a much nicer pool, as well as a lot of high schools. …

Not only that, but I'll bet that you see some parents buy these for their kids, and then when they are done at MSU they'll lease them out to other students.

From the description I was thinking that it will be somewhat near the Power Plant, across Farm Lane from Baker Woodlot.

I like it, or at least I like the pics of it that I've seen so far. It looks like a design that stands out a little from the area around it without being something that will be totally ugly within a few years. I will say it looks better in the aeria…

It wouldn't shock me as it seems like there have been a few new large hockey arenas built recently, like at Ohio State and I think Wisconsin, but I haven't heard anything.
-
Probably not much of a guess, but I'll say that MSU will announce plans for a new building on the site of the current MSP HQ. I'll get really wild though and say that it'll be a new hockey arena.
-
Well as of 4PM today it was almost completely gone. Just a corner of the building left.
-
Wow! I wonder what the plans are for that.
-
I read that WKAR is documenting the demolition. Not sure exactly how though, or if it will be available to see.
-
Well the Paolucci building is starting to come down already. I drove by yesterday. It's all fenced in and the windows have been removed. It looks like some of the bricks have been removed as well.

According to the MSU Construction Updates website the new Art museum design will be announced in mid-to-late January. It is projected to take two years to construct.
