It wouldn't shock me as it seems like there have been a few new large hockey arenas built recently, like at Ohio State and I think Wisconsin, but I haven't heard anything.

Probably not much of a guess, but I'll say that MSU will announce plans for a new building on the site of the current MSP HQ. I'll get really wild though and say that it'll be a new hockey arena.

Well as of 4PM today it was almost completely gone. Just a corner of the building left.

See now I thought it looked weird without the stack. Of course I was looking backwards while exiting the 496 on my way home today, so I'm going to not judge it until I get a real good look at it. I did notice that there was a large gap in the skylin…

Wow! I wonder what the plans are for that.

I read that WKAR is documenting the demolition. Not sure exactly how though, or if it will be available to see.

Well the Paolucci building is starting to come down already. I drove by yesterday. It's all fenced in and the windows have been removed. It looks like some of the bricks have been removed as well.

According to the MSU Construction Updates website the new Art museum design will be announced in mid-to-late January. It is projected to take two years to construct.

I'd noticed that they had been working in that area recently. I think that they were maybe putting in sewers, if I remember right. Sounds like a good thing to me!

OK more info on the Charlotte development. The name of the project is going to be Charlotte Exchange. There are 10 suites available. The project website is at Alliance Commercial Group's website.

Not sure where else I'd post these, so I'll put them here. This is the redevelopment of the former K-Mart in Charlotte. I can't remember the developers right now, but I'll check the sign out front if I remember tomorrow. From what I've heard the ten…

Which warehouse is that? Is it the one on Kalamazoo by the tracks that burned last year?

I think that the City Market could actually thrive because of this. and other projects in the area. Imagine how many people will be living within walking distance if all these projects are completed. Get some additional vendors in, and people would …

My understanding is that they added the smokestack because the taller buildings were creating downdrafts that were causing the smoke from the plant to move down into the city. I like the look of the building with the stack, but I also realize that i…

Wow! I really hope this comes together.
-
Going to be weird not seeing the smokestack. That will take some getting used to.

This sounds very interesting. I'd like to see this happen. I would think that the city's garage would be moved to a less-commercial place now.

One positive about the current Accident Fund building is that it SHOULD be much easier to get that building reused than the Ottawa St Station. ;-)

I love the area around Aurelius and Mt Hope. I think cemeteries are great and it's nice to see them finally fixing (really they are replacing) the fence for Mt Hope Cemetery. It was looking pretty bad. I live about a mile south of Potter Park and I …
