I like this plan, especially given the location. I think this shows that you can add density while still retaining the convenience of a strip mall with surface parking, this could serve as a blueprint for what's possible down MLK, Cedar and Saginaw.

I like the layout/siteplan, although I'd like to see that pub stay. It just sucks that after all this time we're still probably at least a couple years away from shovels in the ground.

I've never received a response back from Gillespie on anything like that, so good luck if you try.

I really only assumed underground parking because I cant imagine what else they would do with a half underground first floor in a flood plain. I'm not sure...

No, im really talking about the senate-related offices, each of them has a staff and I'm sure there are other people who are/should be under the same roof. There are also their hearing rooms to consider. Even with all that it would probably be stret…

I'm not sure how much of the Senate's offices are in Farnum, but I'm pretty sure not all of them are. I'm sure they also would love more space.

Just to update, one of the stairwells is compete, and at five floors confirms underground parking. The other stairwell is at a couple floors, so steel should be going up within a few weeks I'd think. I never did put my two cents in on those lates…

I've actually grown to like the Farnum building, all the materials seem to be high quality and the interior seems interesting as far as I can see from walking by. I'd like to see a restoration of the building, it shouldn't need anything too extensiv…

I was thinking about this recently and the only other thing I could think of would be for Boji to tear down the Tower parking ramp and build on that lot, parking could become an issue though. He could conceivably do a lease to own on Capitol View, t…

What if they bought Boji Tower? I know it's unlikely, but I think they already have hearing rooms in there, it seems almost logical.

I was looking through the city council packet and seen the 3600 Dunckel development and it will be a reuse of the current building. The 144 condos will become 142 student housing units made up of 129 efficiencies, 9 two bedrooms and 4 one bedrooms. …

I think this project is just about perfect for its location it'd be so good if there were more things like this going on in Old Town. I hope that this is just the beginning for new construction in Old Town, I still wish Richard Karp's project would …

Thanks for sharing, I'm very glad to see a few things in that plan. My favorite potential new pathway is the one that will continue east from this new one on Jolly, I was thinking not long ago that it would be great too see a path through the gravel…

I'm really glad to see a major pathway that's not directly part of the Rivertrail. I'm sure there are some other potential locations along old railroad lines and what not that could provide similar opportunities. This seemed to come out of nowhere, …

I recently heard that the State Police may move to secondary complex and sell their new building on Grand, possibly to the Feds. Apparently it's part of a plan that includes the construction of a new emergency operations center at secondary complex,…

All the streets bounding to site are already existing, north is to the left. The plaza currently out there is at the bottom of this rendering and looks like it will be partially razed. I pinned the location here: http://goo.gl/maps/tN8z2

WILX posted a site plan in their story:

I don't totally disagree with the location of the building, it may seem like sprawl now, but in the long term it will make sense. (After looking at the 2020 plan update there is a lot to take in including a number of new buildings in the south acade…

Anyone seen the Dye water plant lately? They took down the neon BWL sign, replacing it with plastic junk and they're painting it goofy colors. I'd suggest writing the BWL...
