  • I don't know if I'll get chance to get out by MSU anytime soon, so I'll have to wait for pictures. Doesn't MSU post construction photos somewhere?
  • With that price tag it could easily be any one of the storefronts, maybe LEDC is looking for their own building.
  • Hopefully we can also get some ground floor retail/entertainment on N Washington also. All-in-all I'm pretty happy with the bar & resturaunt development downtown.
  • On this upcoming city council agenda, someone filed to transfer a liquor license from Okemos to the old Byblos building on Washington, the company's name is API East of Eden, they are also applying for a dance permit. I think it's great the bar dist…
  • Your right on City Market LMich, it is supposed to begin construction in April. Also, I heard from someone with the state that the new chillers downtown will be 60' tall. That building looks almost as large as Stadium District.
  • I disagree given the times. Some may die, but others will get done. I think Capitol Club and Gillespie's projects will move forward with time, I also think either the Lenawee will be built, or another similar sized office building will. Kalamazoo Ga…
  • I agree regarding Capitol Club. I'd rather wait 2 or 3 years for a 20+ floor project rather that rush a 12 floor project.
  • I'm sure it will make it, but the way the economy is looking it may start in 2010-2011, like a lot of the other pending projects may.
  • I didn't see that one coming, I wish I could here more details on this. There are some other very interesting sounding items on that project wish list. I copied the list for Lansing: (city / project / money requested / jobs created) Lansing Wi…
  • Yeah, I've noticed the chiller plant, it's a bit taller than I was expecting. I hope they make it look decent, it looks good in the rendering but it's sort of hard to tell. I do hope that Cooley could buy Knapp's, that may be the one realistic id…
  • The back-in parking was proposed for Museum Drive, I don't know exactly which one you mean by parking strip.

  • An article from today's LSJ, it doesn't say much worthwhile, but it does mention the expansion of the Law Library. Cooley helps shape Downtown Lansing's growth
  • Yeah, the driveway sacrifices about 3-4 parking spaces on Washington.
  • They ought to at least try it out, they could always just repaint the lines later.

  • I also have to work. I'm not sure what they mean, I thought they were going to continue the same streetscape improvements they put on the redone parts of Washington. I am happy with the improvements they have already done, and I'd like to see tho…
  • Yeah, it's a small gain but every little bit helps, especially when the small companies grow.
  • They didn't disclose anything at the council meeting?
  • Visitors Bureau moving to Stadium District I think this will be a good location for them, much more foot traffic and more visible. I didn't know they closed the one in Old Town to walk ins though.
  • It is, but their depending on the proximity to MSU. I think it ought to work out, besides all those farms would have already been developed if they weren't owned by MSU.
