Noticed a lot of flags around Marketplace Apartments by the River Trail. Some outlining what looks like could be the outline for the expansion towards Shiawasee. We might be hearing something new on it pretty soon.

Drove by the project earlier today and noticed vertical steel beams in place in the cancer center portion of the land. Looks like it's time for it to start going vertical.

I kind of like it, though I'm sure I'm in the minority. Marketplace by itself was kind of an oddball but now that it has a counterpart it gives it more of a purpose. Maybe pretty soon we can rename the Stadium district to the Play-Doh District

Hopefully the zipline would encourage the city to build a sidewalk along Grand Avenue between Saginaw and Oakland. How there isn't one already with a CATA bus stop there, I will not understand. I see people every once in a while walking in the stree…

CapitalGains has a nice feature on the trio behind, Zoobies, The Cosmos, The Creole, The Creole Cafe, and soon to be Punk Taco. Love what these guys are doing for the Lansing food scene.

Just a quick update on this. Drove past the site last night and the dealership has been completely demolished.

I've almost come to see it as just the scenery as it's been up for a very long time but has there been any news on the Flats at Prudden Wheel between Saginaw and Oakland? It says "Coming in 2016" (which I swear once said 2015 though I could be wrong…

MichMatters, could it have been that they were hoping to wait until BRT construction? I always figured it would be sort of killing two birds with one stone. Though the sooner it's fixed, the better and now that BRT is delayed, hopefully it's happens…

Well then, that takes care of that I guess...

I'm with on that gbinlansing. The Michigan Avenue signage along the trail is really looking really wore out. Maybe it will be updated when (if) they put the stairs back. At the risk of turning this into a river trail discussion, I would love if t…

Guess it's business as usual in Lansing then At least some of the other projects are starting to move forward nicely.

Did check a little more into it and it looks like it goes back a little while, though Boji did include it in an ad for three developments for Lansing in last month's edition of "Greater Lansing Business Monthly" so maybe there's some new movement on…

I don't recall seeing this anywhere, nor a press release so forgive me if it's old but I found this on the Boji Group site.. The Capitol View building is getting quite the facelift from Boji. Here's what it looks like currently: Here's …

I would still love to see some retail on the first floor of Knapp's. Particularly clothing stores; I imagine a Gap or Banana Republic, or something similar. It's a bummer having to go to the Eastwood area everytime. It would definitely give people a…

To be honest, I think any development down that stretch is at least a bit better than it's current state of affairs. Even if it is a bit uninspired. CityPulse has a bit more info on it. Construction starts in spring 2016 with completion in 2017. …

It said in the LSJ article article when the council approved the project. Developers have said the project could break ground in the spring of 2016 and be completed in 2017. EDIT: Nevermind, I think that was in reference to the Red Cedar …

Drove past the Story dealership and it looks like a lot of the memorabilia/furniture has been cleared out of the building. Maybe starting demolition soon? I know their original plans were to groundbreak in the fall but the LSJ article was saying tha…

I spoke with with the Parks Department during their "City Hall on the Road" event and essentially they told me that they haven't gotten the funds yet from the millage but once they do they will be rebuilding the staircase to Michigan Avenue on the S…

Looking further down the road. Anybody see this? Fully electric buses that only take 5 minutes to charge and can drive for 250 miles on a single charge.

Just a quick thought, we should probably be updating the Oliver Towers page in the forum with this information rather than the "General Lansing Development" page. Specific project updates might get lost pretty easily in this thread.
