Crazy you posted these. I'd been trying to see if Google Streetview had updated it for a few months, now, and they JUST updated it this month. lol I've been curious about this area, because I'd always thought the 425 Area this is included in was purely industrial/commercial, but there were two houses on Davis Highway closer to Nixon that remained on GM's property until very recently. There's also one other residential orperty off of Nixon on the land. So this area has had 3 households-worth of voting residents & taxpayers in Lansing since this 425 went into effect and I always thought it was unpopulated. They're gone now, though, except for the home on Nixon. lol

I actually saw the google streetview car a couple weeks ago driving that area. I'm going to see if I made it in the shot now lol
  • A few updates from around town... With a few construction new projects getting going there should be more to show over the next few months.

Ranney Park construction is moving along. The structure (waterfalls/cascades???) at the north end of the park is taking shape, I'm very interested to see exactly what it ends up looking like. The south end of the park is starting to look a little better as plants take hold.

  • Thank you, for the pictures, much easier than trying to catch a glimpse of the sites from the car. The Stadium North project seems to be going up very quickly. I had not been that way in a while, it is kind of surprising. At Ranny Park I seem to remember a plan for a water feature with people's faces spitting out water. Maybe this is that feature. There seems to more playgrounds than kids to play in them, maybe next the mayor will put a playground in front of City Hall.
