Amtrak will move in to the station next week on Monday. The last train to leave the old Amtrak station will be the 8:45am Blue Water line to Chicago, and the first train to leave the new station will be the 8:54pm Blue Water line to Port Huron.

I would really prefer that the lot at the corner of Grand and Michigan Ave (along with the Walter Neller building) be used to build this if they were to build new. That's a pretty disappointing corner of downtown as people come from the east.

Note that the LSJ rendering is dated 2014 but the rendering hood included above is dated 2015. I'm not sure why the LSJ went with the older rendering, unless they found out that the previous design is now being used.

@hood, there isn't a built-in way to resize the pictures. I would recommend saving them locally, resizing them, and uploading them to your own hosting. That way they will stay online even after Neumann Smith takes them down

Lol looking back through the comments on the page I see hood already said the same thing. Between these two developments and Whole Foods eventually opening at some point this stretch of Grand River may feel a bit different.

The site plan in the brownfield article is a bit different than the one in the Scott Chapelle article. Also, the brownfield article mentions Campus Village but nothing about Chapelle. I'm interested in learning more about the connection there.
