A private urban-farming group, Hoop-De-Dew, has approached the Gillespie Group about using 5 of the undeveloped acres at the Beaumont for an urban farm. They plan to lease the land for $1 from Gillespie. Darcy Schmitt, East Lansing planning and zo…

@MichMatters: The Cheesecake Factory?

The ground breaking for the museum is set for tomorrow. I went by today and they had two large white tents set up with chairs for about 100.

Yeah, it is really busy. I'm planning on grabbing some pictures next time I'm over in that area.

I must have read the LSJ article but never posted it on the forum. That's good that it's on here now

I heard a while back that the CompUSA location will be taken up by one of the discount brands of TJ Maxx. Ignite Lansing would have been cool to go to. The pictures on the LSJ site don't really show much of the building though I'll have to ch…

Thanks for the clarification.

Eli and Edythe Broad donated another $2 million dollars toward the project. Construction should be starting soon, I think I had seen February or early March.
-
This is good news. The amended site plan will be considered by the East Lansing Planning Commission at its Feb. 24 meeting.
-
That would be a great way to connect East Lansing with the eastside of Lansing. Can't wait to see more information.

I've added the thumbnails back on to the website. I've made it so the thumbnail feature won't display any images from the guy who complained.

I updated the forum software today from version 1.1.6 to 1.1.10. Please let me know if something isn't working anymore.

It looks to be pretty closed off to me. It looks like the entrance on the campus side will be removed and there will only be the entrance off of Grand River. There is a small section of the current parking lot that looks slated to hold benches and p…

The pigmented concrete looks like it might fit shadow lines and could be really cool if it was done that way.

I hadn't seen these before. Thanks for sharing!
