My assumption is that there is a real estate sale between a couple owners that is pending based on the zoning change request. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of one of the local developers wanting to build high-density student housing within that ar…

It looks like Morrill Hall will be replaced starting in 2012, according to the article in the Lansing State Journal. On Friday, the university's Board of Trustees officially started the process that will end in the 108-year-old building's demoliti…

I looked up the different zoning codes on the city's website: "RM-54" University Oriented Multiple Family Residential High density residential district consisting of apartments and townhouses. Approximately 54 dwelling units per acre.* *Approximat…

It looks like there may be some more properties added to the list to rezone towards RM-54. I'm pretty sure that the number on the zoning code means the number of persons per acre. Correct me if I'm wrong. **Edit: It is actually the number of units p…

I like how the new building will wrap the corner. By end of the year do you think he means end of 2008? By the way, the new City Pulse website is awesome! It is really going to change how newspaper websites work. If this site was around a couple …

I know the last picture is by the corner of Mt. Hope and Aureilius Rd. I'm pretty sure it's near the arrow in this picture:

I looked into it and DTN owns the following properties on S Clippert: 200, 204, 208, and 212. That should be roughly the size of the RiverWalk Apartments one property away. There looks to be a house sandwiched between the two developments.

The old property will probably be converted to student rentals or some type of student housing given it's proximity to campus. I'm not too worried about it becoming abandoned. I also believe that the latest site rendering on here is probably out of …

It looks like there will be another development like Riverwalk Apartments across from the Red Cedar Golf Course on Clippert. Two lots (or maybe three) have now been completely cleared and there are two large pieces of construction equipment on site.…

Here is a good overlay of what the site will look like: from the mylansingcitymarket.com website

no, the Dollar is down Michigan Ave about a half a mile. This is right near Buddy's marathon.

Honestly, I don't think they will be using that billion any time in the near future. From my understanding, it's being held on to and the interest gained on it is what's being spent.

The story today mentions that the height has been lowered to 14 stories from lower demand.
