My understanding is that if Lot 2 is torn down nothing can be built there because of it's location in the floodplain. The floodplain location is another reason that the servers in the Computer Center are moving to the new data center.

But I've seen this stuff all my life too. I grew up on a dirt road that was the county line between Eaton and Barry counties. Neither really showed much interest in maintaining it, especially in the winter.

I was impressed. I had low expectations but it's worked for me every time. Plus it's nice to be able to take a picture so they can see the issue.

I've had good luck with the City of Lansing app in the Amazon/Google store. Very quick response from that as well. I've used it to report street lights and traffic lights that are out.
